One of two “Boots on the Ground” design workshops was facilitated by local Landscape Architect Camille Applewhite, who walked the group through her ideation techniques as she developed a conceptual scheme for the garden. The Friends of Sears Sunken have tried, throughout the first phase of design, to bring together design experts and community members for the project to be absolutely unique and in harmony with what makes Homan Square and the North Lawndale neighborhood special.
